Transition from Relaxer to Naturally Curly Hair

This is the hair journey that took this client a little over a year to grow out her relaxed hair to what she now has today.  With lots of deep moisture mask treatments and never using any hot tools on her hair, she now has beautiful curly hair.

Her first appointment was November 20, 2013. I first did my dry curly cut.  Followed by a mask treatment  for 10 minutes. I then layered Deva One Condition, Deva Styling Cream and Deva Set Up & Above on dripping wet hair then used a cup diffuser to encourage the relaxed ends to curl.   The first three  pictures are the before.

Her second appointment was on July 30, 2014.  This appointment she allowed me to cut off as
much of the relaxed ends I could with my dry curly cut technique. I did a mask treatment again to moisture to her hair followed by layering Jane Carter's Solution Nutrient Rich Conditioner and
Jane Carter's Solutions Curl Defining Cream on dripping wet hair.  Diffused dry with a cup diffuser.

Her third appointment was in October of 2014 where I completed the same steps of cutting,
styling and drying with the same products.

She was last in on December 22, 2014.  She was finally able to wear her hair down and was really
enjoying her new curly style.  This is what her hair looked like after she had styled it two days ago.
The last picture is how she came into the salon that day for her curly cut.

With time, the proper dry curly cut and masking treatments you can rehab your hair into the
amazing curls you have always wanted.
